Privacy
Every game here is playable without an account, and if you never sign in, nothing about you ever leaves your device. Signing in does exactly one thing: it puts a name you choose next to a score on a public leaderboard.
This site is run by PipedCreations, based in the United States, at games.pipedcreations.com. Questions, requests and complaints go to privacy@pipedcreations.com.
If you never sign in
Then no personal information is collected by this site at all. There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels and no cookies. Nobody here can tell you apart from anybody else.
Your progress and high scores are saved in your own browser, in local storage, under names like roadrage-save-v1 and stillwater-v3. That data belongs to your browser, is never transmitted, and disappears when you clear your site data. Games you install to your home screen also keep a copy of themselves on your device so they work offline.
Two things happen regardless, and are worth naming:
- Server logs. The site is hosted by Vercel, which records ordinary request information including your IP address, in order to serve pages and keep the service running.
- Google Fonts. The cabinet page loads two typefaces from Google's font service, which means your IP address is disclosed to Google when that page loads. No fonts are loaded inside the games themselves.
If you do sign in
Sign-in is offered for one reason: to submit scores to the public leaderboard. It is entirely optional and no part of any game is locked behind it.
What Google tells us
Signing in uses Google, through Firebase Authentication. Google confirms who you are and hands back an account identifier, along with the email address and profile name on your Google account. That information is held in this site's Firebase project, which is operated by Google on our behalf. We never display your email address or your Google profile name, and neither is copied into the leaderboard. We do not receive your Google password.
What the leaderboard stores
| What | Why | Public? |
|---|---|---|
| Your account identifier | To keep one row per person and let you replace your own score | No |
| The display name you choose, plus a four digit tag | So there is a name on the board that is not your real one | Yes |
| Your best score on each board | It is the leaderboard | Yes |
| A few numbers about the run, such as takedowns or levels cleared | Shown beside the score | Yes |
This is held in a database operated by Upstash. The display name is text you type, so please do not put anything in it you would not want a stranger to read. We can remove a name that is abusive or that impersonates somebody.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or share your personal information, and we never have.
- We do not use it for advertising, profiling or automated decisions.
- We do not track you across other websites.
- We set no cookies. Your signed-in state is kept in your own browser's storage by Google's sign-in code, not in a cookie we control.
Deleting all of it
There is a button. Sign in, go to The best you have done on the front page, and press DELETE MY ACCOUNT AND SCORES, then confirm. It removes every score and name you have on every board, and then deletes the Google sign-in link itself. Nothing is retained on either side, and there is no waiting period.
If the button will not finish, if you cannot sign in any more, or if you would rather a person did it, write to privacy@pipedcreations.com and it will be done by hand.
Scores that are still on a board are kept until you remove them, because a leaderboard with disappearing entries is not a leaderboard. Everything else follows: server logs are retained by Vercel on their own schedule and are not used for anything but running the site.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask what is held about you, ask for a copy, ask for it to be corrected, and ask for it to be deleted. The delete button does the last one immediately and the email address does the rest. We will not treat you differently for asking.
If you are in California
In the past twelve months the categories of personal information collected are: identifiers (an account identifier, an email address held by Google's authentication service, IP addresses in server logs) and internet activity (the scores and game statistics you choose to submit). They are collected for the purposes described above and from you.
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. There is nothing to opt out of. You may exercise your rights to know, delete and correct using the button or the email address above.
Children
The games are open to anybody, but this site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If a child has signed in, a parent or guardian can press the delete button, or write to privacy@pipedcreations.com and it will be removed.
Other sites
3D Printing Empire is listed on the cabinet but is a separate website with its own operator and its own privacy practices. This policy does not cover it.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what is collected or who it goes to, the date at the top changes and the change is described here. This is the first version.
